Hippophae
Hippophae is a genus of plants in the family Elaeagnaceae, commonly known as sea buckthorn. The genus comprises deciduous shrubs and small trees, known for their bright orange or yellow berries. The name Hippophae is derived from Greek, meaning "shining horse," referring to the ancient belief that horses fed on these plants would have shiny coats.
Description

They have a distinctive feature of silver-green leaves and are dioecious, meaning individual plants are either male or female.
