Heteronormativity

Heteronormativity is a term used in sociology and gender studies to describe a cultural bias in favor of opposite-sex relationships and against same-sex relationships. Definition

Heteronormativity is the belief that people fall into distinct and complementary genders (man and woman) with natural roles in life.
