Heath bar
Heath bar is a candy bar made of toffee and milk chocolate. It is currently manufactured by the Hershey Company and was first introduced in 1928 by the Heath Brothers Confectionery.
History
The Heath bar was created by the Heath Brothers Confectionery in 1928. The company was founded by Bayard Heath and Everett Heath in Robinson, Illinois. The brothers initially sold homemade ice cream and candy, but the Heath bar quickly became their most popular product.
The Heath bar was unique for its time because it was marketed as a healthful candy bar. The original packaging even claimed that it was "beneficial to health" and "aids digestion". Despite these claims, the Heath bar is a traditional candy bar made of toffee and milk chocolate.
In 1989, the Hershey Company acquired the Heath bar and continues to manufacture it today.
Ingredients
The Heath bar is made of toffee and milk chocolate. The toffee is made by boiling sugar and butter until it reaches a hard crack stage. The mixture is then poured onto a flat surface and allowed to cool and harden. Once the toffee is hardened, it is coated in milk chocolate.
Related Products
There are several products that are similar to the Heath bar. These include the Skor bar, which is also made by the Hershey Company, and the Daim bar, which is made by Mondelez International. Both of these bars are made of toffee and chocolate, but they have slightly different flavors and textures.
In Popular Culture
The Heath bar has been featured in several movies and television shows. It is often used as a topping for ice cream and other desserts.
