Plot

The film follows the Gingerdead Man, a murderous gingerbread cookie brought to life, as he faces off against the Evil Bong, a malevolent bong with supernatural powers. The story begins with the Gingerdead Man escaping from his captivity and seeking revenge. Meanwhile, the Evil Bong, known as Eebee, is plotting to take over the world by enslaving humans through her hallucinogenic powers. The two villains eventually cross paths, leading to a series of comedic and horrific confrontations.

Cast

Production

The film was produced by Full Moon Features, a company known for its low-budget horror films. Charles Band, the founder of Full Moon Features, directed and produced the film. The screenplay was written by Kent Roudebush, who has worked on several other Full Moon projects. The film features a mix of practical effects and computer-generated imagery to bring the titular characters to life.

Reception

Gingerdead Man vs. Evil Bong received mixed reviews from critics. Some praised its campy humor and creative special effects, while others criticized its low production values and thin plot. Despite the mixed reviews, the film has gained a cult following among fans of B-movies and horror comedies.

Legacy

The film is notable for being one of the few crossovers in the horror genre, bringing together two distinct franchises. It has spawned several sequels and spin-offs, further expanding the universes of both the Gingerdead Man and the Evil Bong.
