Frotteurism (pronunciation: /frɒˈtɜːrɪzəm/) is a paraphilic interest in rubbing, usually one's pelvic area or erect penis, against a non-consenting person for sexual pleasure. It may involve touching any part of the body, including the genital area.

The term "Frotteurism" is derived from the French verb frotter, which means "to rub".
Definition
Frotteurism is classified as a Sexual Disorder Not Otherwise Specified by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV). It is characterized by intense sexually arousing fantasies, urges, or behaviors involving touching and rubbing against a non-consenting person. The individual must have acted on these urges, or they must cause marked distress or interpersonal difficulty.
