Fraser and Neave, Limited (F&N) is a multinational food and beverage, publishing, and property conglomerate headquartered in Singapore. The company was founded in 1883 by John Fraser and David Chalmers Neave, both of whom were prominent figures in the early development of Singapore.

History

Fraser and Neave was established in 1883 as a carbonated soft drink manufacturer. The company quickly expanded its operations to include a variety of beverages, including dairy products, and later diversified into publishing and property development.

Early Years

The company began with the production of carbonated soft drinks and later expanded into the dairy industry. By the early 20th century, F&N had become a significant player in the beverage industry in Southeast Asia.

Expansion and Diversification

In the mid-20th century, F&N diversified its business operations. The company ventured into the publishing industry, acquiring several publishing houses and launching various magazines and newspapers.
