Florida's congressional districts

From WikiMD's Medical Encyclopedia

Florida's congressional districts are the geographic areas in the state of Florida from which members are elected to the United States House of Representatives. The number of districts in Florida has changed over time due to population growth and reapportionment following the United States Census. As of the most recent census, Florida has 28 congressional districts.

History[edit]

Florida was admitted to the Union on March 3, 1845. Initially, Florida had only one at-large congressional district. As the population grew, the number of districts increased.
