English: An image of a fragment of the whiskers of Psychodidae (drain- or moth flies), obtained using scanning electron microscopy with a resolution of about 70 nm. The leg is covered with leaf-like structures resembling feathers. Each such feather is dotted with about ten longitudinal lines. Sometimes long hairs stick out from the body of the leg, dotted with microsized particles (probably dust, debris). But basically the leg is covered everywhere with very short hairs and leaf-like structures.
