Description
English: Janet Rowley was an American human geneticist and the first scientist to identify a chromosomal translocation as the cause of leukemia and other cancers. She received the National Medal of Science 1998. As a medalist, this year she participated in the NMS 60th anniversary program at the National Academies of Science at which she was interviewed by Lisa-Joy Zgorski of the National Science Foundation.
