Ejaculate
Ejaculate (pronounced: /iˈjakjəˌlāt/) is a term used in medicine and sexual health to refer to the process by which semen is expelled from a male's body during orgasm. The term can also be used as a noun to refer to the semen that is expelled.
Etymology
The term "ejaculate" comes from the Latin word "ejaculatus," which is the past participle of "ejaculari," meaning "to throw out."
Process
During the process of ejaculation, sperm is propelled from the epididymis where it is stored, into the urethra via the vas deferens. This process is facilitated by the contraction of various muscles and the release of chemicals in the body. The semen, which contains the sperm, is then expelled out of the body through the penis.
