The origins of the Edmund Mach Foundation trace back to the establishment of the Istituto Agrario di San Michele all’Adige in 1874. In 2008, the institution was officially renamed the Edmund Mach Foundation, in honor of its influential predecessor, to better reflect its broadened scope and commitment to integrating research, education, and innovation in agriculture and food production.
