Easthampton is a city in Hampshire County, Massachusetts, United States. It is part of the Pioneer Valley and is located in the Connecticut River Valley. The city is known for its vibrant arts community and scenic natural surroundings.
History[edit]
Easthampton was first settled by European colonists in 1664 and was officially incorporated in 1785. Originally a part of Northampton, Massachusetts, it became a separate town due to its growing population and economic development.
Geography[edit]
Easthampton is situated in the western part of Massachusetts, bordered by the Mount Tom Range to the east. The city covers a total area of 35.8 square kilometers, with 34.9 square kilometers of land and 0.9 square kilometers of water.
