3. **Gamma Decay**: Gamma decay occurs when an excited nucleus releases excess energy in the form of a gamma ray photon. Unlike alpha and beta decay, gamma decay does not change the atomic or mass number of the nucleus. Instead, it transitions the nucleus from an excited state to a lower energy state.
4. **Spontaneous Fission**: Spontaneous fission is a rare type of decay in which a heavy nucleus splits into two smaller nuclei, along with the release of several neutrons. The resulting decay products can vary widely depending on the specific nucleus undergoing fission.

Decay products play a crucial role in various scientific fields, including nuclear physics, geology, and medicine.
