The De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute was established in 1979 as the De La Salle University-Emilio Aguinaldo College of Medicine. The institution gained its current name in 2007 to reflect its broadening scope, which now includes a wide range of health sciences programs beyond medicine.
