Dashboard
Dashboard (Medicine)
Dashboard (pronounced: /ˈdæʃ.bɔːrd/) is a term used in the medical field to refer to a visual display of the most important information needed to achieve one or more objectives, consolidated and arranged on a single screen so the information can be monitored at a glance.
Etymology
The term "dashboard" originally referred to a barrier of wood or leather fixed at the front of a horse-drawn carriage or sleigh to protect the driver from mud or other debris "dashed up" (thrown up) by the horses' hooves.
