Dara Kass (/ˈdɑːrə ˈkæs/) is a prominent figure in the field of Emergency Medicine and a strong advocate for Gender Equality in healthcare.
Etymology
The name Dara is of Hebrew origin and means "compassion" or "wisdom". Kass is a surname of multiple origins. It can be of German origin where it means "box", or of Jewish (Ashkenazic) origin where it is an acronym of a Hebrew phrase "Kohen Shemuel" meaning "Samuel the priest".
Career
Dara Kass started her career in the medical field after completing her education from the George Washington University School of Medicine. She is a practicing emergency medicine physician and an associate professor of emergency medicine at the Columbia University Medical Center.
