Custirsen
Custirsen is an experimental antisense oligonucleotide designed for the treatment of cancer. It specifically targets and binds to the mRNA of the clusterin gene, leading to a decrease in clusterin protein production. Clusterin is a chaperone protein that is implicated in cancer cell survival, resistance to chemotherapy, and apoptosis (programmed cell death).
