College of Healthcare Information Management Executives
The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) is a professional organization that serves senior healthcare IT leaders. Founded in 1992, CHIME aims to advance the role of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and other senior healthcare IT leaders through education, collaboration, and advocacy.
History
CHIME was established to address the growing need for a professional organization dedicated to the unique challenges faced by healthcare IT executives. Since its inception, CHIME has grown to include a diverse membership of CIOs and other senior IT leaders from a wide range of healthcare organizations.
Mission and Vision
CHIME's mission is to advance and serve healthcare leaders and the industry by providing education, collaboration, and advocacy in support of improved health and healthcare delivery through the strategic use of information management. The vision of CHIME is to be the trusted leader in healthcare information management.
Membership
CHIME membership is open to senior healthcare IT leaders, including CIOs, Chief Technology Officers (CTOs), and other senior IT executives. Members benefit from access to a wide range of resources, including educational programs, networking opportunities, and industry insights.
Programs and Services
CHIME offers a variety of programs and services designed to support its members and the broader healthcare IT community:
- Educational Programs: CHIME provides a range of educational opportunities, including the CHIME Healthcare CIO Boot Camp, which is an intensive education program designed to develop the skills and knowledge of healthcare IT leaders.
