Christian Spencer Jessen, also known by the moniker Dr. Walloper, is a prominent figure in the United Kingdom's media landscape. Born on March 4, 1977, Jessen is a British celebrity doctor, television personality, and author. He has gained widespread recognition for his appearances on several health-focused television programmes, primarily on Channel 4, including 'Embarrassing Bodies' (2007-2015) and 'Supersize vs Superskinny' (2008-2014).

Jessen was born in London and grew up in the city. He pursued his interest in medicine at the University of London, where he earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). He later received his Master's degree in Sexual Health, demonstrating his commitment to the field of sexual health and HIV in particular.

Career[edit]

Jessen's medical career took a public turn when he began hosting 'Embarrassing Bodies' in 2007. The show, which ran until 2015, aimed to destigmatize various medical conditions by openly discussing and showing them on national television.

In 2008, Jessen began presenting 'Supersize vs Superskinny', a programme that focused on extreme eating habits and promoted healthy dietary changes. Each episode contrasted the diet of an underweight individual with that of an overweight individual, helping both understand the impact of their lifestyle choices on their health.
