Chris Evert is a former professional tennis player from the United States. She was born on December 21, 1954, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Evert is widely regarded as one of the greatest female tennis players of all time, having achieved numerous records and accolades throughout her career.

Early Life and Career

Evert showed an early interest in tennis and began playing at the age of five. She quickly displayed exceptional talent and went on to win her first national championship at the age of 16. Evert turned professional in 1972 and soon became a dominant force in women's tennis.

Tennis Career

Throughout her career, Evert won a total of 18 Grand Slam singles titles, including a record seven French Open titles. She also won three Wimbledon titles and six US Open titles. Evert's playing style was characterized by her exceptional consistency and powerful baseline game. She was known for her mental toughness and ability to stay calm under pressure.

Evert had a fierce rivalry with fellow tennis player Martina Navratilova, and their matches are considered some of the greatest in tennis history.
