Charlotte (medical term)

Charlotte (/ʃɑːrˈlɒt/) is not a common term in the medical field. However, it can be associated with the Charlotte's Web strain of medical cannabis, named after a young girl named Charlotte Figi who suffered from a rare form of epilepsy.

Etymology

The name Charlotte is of French origin and means "free man" or "petite". In the context of the medical cannabis strain, it was named after Charlotte Figi, who was the first patient to use this strain to control her Dravet Syndrome seizures.
