Château Lagrange

Château Lagrange is a winery in the Bordeaux region of France, located in the Saint-Julien AOC of the Médoc wine region. It is classified as a Troisième Cru (Third Growth) in the historic Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855.

History

The history of Château Lagrange dates back to 1631 when it was established in the Médoc region. Over the centuries, it has undergone various changes in ownership and has been developed into a prominent estate known for its high-quality wines.

Vineyards

Château Lagrange has approximately 280 acres of vineyards, primarily planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. The estate's location in the Saint-Julien AOC provides an ideal terroir for producing balanced and elegant wines.

Wine Production

The winery produces approximately 52,000 cases of wine per year. The wines of Château Lagrange are known for their complexity, structure, and aging potential. The primary wine produced is a blend dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, with Merlot and Petit Verdot adding depth and character.
