Function

Catecholamines are part of the body's fight or flight response. They are released into the bloodstream in response to physical or emotional stress. The primary functions of catecholamines include increasing heart rate, blood pressure, and blood glucose levels, and dilating the bronchioles in the lungs to improve oxygen flow.
