CARe Medical College (pronounced as /kɑːr/ medical college) is a private medical college located in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. It was established in 2014 and is affiliated with the University of Dhaka. The college offers a five-year course of study, leading to a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree.
Etymology
The name "CARe" is an acronym derived from the words 'Committed to Assist in Reaching Excellence'. The college aims to provide high-quality medical education and to produce competent healthcare professionals who can contribute to the medical sector of Bangladesh and beyond.
Curriculum
The curriculum of CARe Medical College is based on the guidelines provided by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC). The five-year course is divided into four phases, followed by a one-year internship in the college's own hospital, CARe Medical College Hospital.
