Bus station

Bus station is a transport infrastructure specifically designed for the boarding and alighting of buses and their passengers. Bus stations can be found in both urban and rural areas and can serve local or long-distance services.

Overview

A bus station is a structure where city or intercity buses stop to pick up and drop off passengers. It is larger than a bus stop, which is usually simply a place on the sidewalk where buses can stop. Bus stations typically have a range of facilities for passengers. These may include a ticket office, waiting area, public toilets, and sometimes a cafe or vending machine. Some bus stations also have park and ride facilities.
