Bufexamac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that is used for the treatment of various skin conditions. It is primarily applied topically to reduce inflammation and alleviate pain associated with conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis.

Mechanism of Action

Bufexamac works by inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX), which is involved in the synthesis of prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are lipid compounds that play a key role in the inflammatory process. By reducing the production of prostaglandins, bufexamac helps to decrease inflammation and pain.
