The Briarcliff Manor Fire Department (pronunciation: /ˈbraɪərklɪf ˈmænər faɪər dɪˈpɑːrtmənt/) is a volunteer fire department located in Briarcliff Manor, New York. The department is responsible for providing fire protection, rescue services, and emergency medical services to the residents of Briariff Manor.

Etymology

The term "Briarcliff Manor" is derived from the name of the village in which the fire department is located. "Briarcliff" is a compound of "briar" and "cliff", indicating a thorny, rugged terrain. "Manor" refers to a tract of land or a district.
