History

Batchelors was founded in 1895 by William Batchelor. The company initially focused on producing dried peas and canned vegetables. Over the years, Batchelors expanded its product range to include a variety of convenience foods.

In the 1940s, Batchelors introduced its first instant soup product, which became highly popular in the United Kingdom. The brand continued to innovate and expand its product line, introducing Batchelors Cup-a-Soup in the 1970s, which remains one of its most well-known products.
