Bartender
A Bartender (pronunciation: /ˈbɑːrtɛndər/) is a person who formulates and serves alcoholic or soft drink beverages behind the bar, usually in a licensed establishment. Bartenders also usually maintain the supplies and inventory for the bar.
Etymology
The term "Bartender" is derived from the term "bar" (a counter where drinks are served) and the verb "tend" (to take care of). The term was first used in the late 18th century in England and America.
