History
The history of the automotive industry began in the 1860s with the creation of the first self-propelled road vehicles. These were powered by steam engines, which were replaced by internal combustion engines in the late 19th century. The first mass-produced vehicle, the Model T, was introduced by the Ford Motor Company in 1908.
