Audenz

Audenz (pronounced: aw-den-z) is a vaccine used to prevent influenza A (H5N1) virus infection in people 6 months of age and older.

Etymology

The name "Audenz" is a coined term by the pharmaceutical company Seqirus, and does not have a known etymology.

Usage

Audenz is an inactivated vaccine. Inactivated vaccines do not contain live flu virus, so you cannot get the flu from this vaccine. The vaccine works by exposing you to a small dose of the virus, which helps your body to develop immunity to the disease.
