With the help of their trusty dog, Dogmatix, and the village druid, Getafix, they manage to outwit the Romans and reach Hispania.

Once in Hispania, Asterix and Obelix face new challenges, including the local customs and the fierce resistance of the Spanish people. They eventually succeed in reuniting Pepe with his father, and the story concludes with a grand feast in the Gaulish village.
