Anglophobia (/ˌæŋɡləˈfoʊbiə/; from Latin Anglus "English" and Greek phobos "fear") is a term used to describe an irrational or extreme fear or dislike of England, its people, its culture, or the English language.
Etymology
The term Anglophobia comes from two root words. The first, Anglus, is a Latin term meaning "English". The second, phobos, is a Greek term meaning "fear". Combined, they form Anglophobia, which is used to describe an irrational fear or dislike of England and its culture.
