Publication history[edit]
Angel was one of the earliest superheroes introduced in the Golden Age of Comic Books. He was a popular character during the 1940s, appearing in various anthology series published by Timely Comics. The character was later revived in the 1970s and has appeared sporadically in modern Marvel Comics continuity.
Fictional character biography[edit]
Origin[edit]
Thomas Halloway was born in the early 20th century. As a young man, he was inspired by the pulp fiction heroes of his time and decided to become a crimefighter. He trained himself to physical perfection and adopted the identity of the Angel, a masked vigilante who fought against organized crime and corruption.
Powers and abilities[edit]
Angel possesses no superhuman abilities but is a highly skilled hand-to-hand combatant and an expert detective. He is known for his keen intellect and resourcefulness, often using his wits to outsmart his opponents. Angel is also a master of disguise, allowing him to infiltrate criminal organizations and gather intelligence.
Equipment[edit]
Angel wears a distinctive costume that includes a blue suit, a red cape, and a mask that conceals his identity. He often uses a variety of gadgets and weapons, including a grappling hook and smoke bombs, to aid him in his crimefighting activities.
In other media[edit]
Angel has appeared in various Marvel Comics adaptations, including animated television series and video games. Although not as prominent as other Marvel superheroes, Angel remains a notable figure in the history of comic book characters.
