The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Raipur (AIIMS Raipur) is a premier medical institution located in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. Established in 2012, it is one of the new AIIMS institutions set up by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY).
History
AIIMS Raipur was established as part of the government's initiative to correct regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country and attain self-sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education. The foundation stone of AIIMS Raipur was laid in 2003, and the institution became operational in 2012.
Campus
The AIIMS Raipur campus is spread over an area of approximately 103 acres. It includes a hospital, medical college, nursing college, and residential facilities for faculty and staff. The campus is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities to support medical education and healthcare services.
