Adventist (/ədˈvɛntɪst/; from the Latin adventus, meaning "coming") is a term that refers to a person who believes in the Second Advent of Jesus, also known as the Second Coming. The term is most commonly associated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church, a Protestant Christian denomination that emphasizes the imminent return of Jesus Christ.
