It is programmed by Williams Street Productions, a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Discovery. The block broadcasts from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Eastern and Pacific Time.
History
Adult Swim was launched on September 2, 2001, as a late-night block on Cartoon Network, aimed at adults and young adults. The block was created to cater to an older audience with a taste for alternative and experimental animation, often featuring mature themes, sexual content, and dark humor.
