Adithya Varma is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Gireesaaya in his directorial debut and produced by Mukesh Mehta under E4 Entertainment. It is a remake of the Telugu film Arjun Reddy, which was released in 2017 and starred Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in the lead roles.

Production

The film's production began after the original Tamil remake of Arjun Reddy, titled Varmaa, directed by Bala, was scrapped due to creative differences between the director and the production house. The producers then decided to re-shoot the entire film with a new cast and crew, retaining only Dhruv Vikram from the original project. Gireesaaya, who was an assistant director on Arjun Reddy, was roped in to helm the project, marking his directorial debut.

Music

The soundtrack and score of Adithya Varma were composed by Radhan, who also worked on the original Arjun Reddy film. The music received positive reviews, with tracks like "Edharkadi" and "Yaen Ennai Pirindhaai" becoming popular among the audience.
