Active Living

Active living (/ˈæktɪv ˈlɪvɪŋ/) is a way of life that integrates physical activity into daily routines. The goal is to accumulate at least 30 minutes of activity each day. This can be achieved in many different ways, from walking or cycling to work, to using the stairs instead of the elevator.

Etymology

The term "active living" is derived from the English words "active", meaning engaged in action, and "living", referring to the condition of being alive. It was first used in the late 20th century to promote the benefits of physical activity for health and wellbeing.
