The Uytengsu Aquatics Center is a premier aquatics venue located on the campus of the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, California. It serves as the home for the USC Trojans men's and women's swimming and diving teams. The facility is named after Fred Uytengsu, a USC alumnus and former swimmer, whose generous donation made the renovation of the center possible.

History[edit]

The original aquatics facility, known as the McDonald's Olympic Swim Stadium, was constructed for the 1984 Summer Olympics held in Los Angeles. It was the site of the swimming and diving events during the games. Over the years, the facility became outdated, prompting the need for a major renovation.

In 2012, Fred Uytengsu, a former USC swimmer and successful businessman, donated $8 million to the university for the renovation of the aquatics center. The renovation project was completed in 2014, transforming the facility into a state-of-the-art aquatics center.
