Noisiel

Noisiel is a commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France. It is located in the eastern suburbs of Paris, approximately 20.5 km (12.7 mi) from the center of the city. Noisiel is part of the Val Maubuée sector, one of the four sectors in the new town of Marne-la-Vallée.
History[edit]
Noisiel has a rich history that dates back to the medieval period. The area was originally a small village, but it gained prominence in the 19th century with the establishment of the Menier Chocolate Factory.
The Menier Chocolate Factory[edit]

The Menier Chocolate Factory was founded in 1825 by Jean-Antoine Brutus Menier. The factory became a major industrial site and was instrumental in the development of the town. The iconic Moulin Saulnier, built in 1872, is a notable example of industrial architecture and is recognized as a Monument historique by the French government.
