Sex doll‏‎ is a type of sex toy in the size and shape of a sexual partner for aid in masturbation. The sex doll may consist of an entire body with face, or just a head, pelvis or other partial body, with the accessories (vagina, anus, mouth, penis) for sexual stimulation. The parts are sometimes vibrating and may be removable or interchangeable.

History[edit]

The history of sex dolls dates back to the 17th century when Dutch sailors created handmade dolls made of cloth while away at sea. These dolls, known as Dame de Voyage, were used for sexual pleasure and companionship during long voyages. In the 20th century, the use of inflatable dolls became more prevalent. The first fully modern sex dolls were created in the 1970s by manufacturers like Abyss Creations.

Types of Sex Dolls[edit]

There are several types of sex dolls available in the market today. The most common types include:

  • Inflatable Sex Dolls: These are the most basic type of sex dolls. They are typically made from vinyl and are inflated for use.
  • Silicone Sex Dolls: These dolls are made from silicone, a material that is more durable and lifelike than vinyl. Silicone sex dolls are more expensive than their inflatable counterparts.
  • TPE Sex Dolls: TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) sex dolls are a newer type of sex doll. They are made from a material that is softer and more flexible than silicone, providing a more realistic feel.
  • AI Sex Dolls: AI (Artificial Intelligence) sex dolls are the most advanced type of sex dolls. They are equipped with advanced AI technology that allows them to interact with their users in a more realistic and intimate way.

Legal and Ethical Issues[edit]

The use and sale of sex dolls have been subject to legal and ethical debates in many countries. Some argue that sex dolls can help reduce sexual crimes, while others believe they can lead to objectification and dehumanization of women. In some countries, the sale and use of child-like sex dolls are illegal due to concerns about child exploitation.
