AlphaTauri AT03[edit]
The AlphaTauri AT03 is a Formula One racing car designed and constructed by Scuderia AlphaTauri to compete in the 2022 Formula One World Championship. The car was driven by Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda.
Design and Development[edit]
The AT03 was developed in response to the new technical regulations introduced for the 2022 season. These regulations were aimed at improving the aerodynamics of the cars and promoting closer racing. The AT03 features a ground effect floor, simplified front and rear wings, and 18-inch wheels with low-profile tires.
The car is powered by a Honda RA622H power unit, continuing the partnership between AlphaTauri and Honda, which began in 2018 when the team was known as Scuderia Toro Rosso. The power unit is a 1.6-liter V6 turbocharged engine with hybrid energy recovery systems.
Performance[edit]
The AT03 showed competitive performance throughout the 2022 season, with Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda both scoring points in several races. The car's design focused on achieving a balance between aerodynamic efficiency and mechanical grip, which was crucial under the new regulations.
