The Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) is a stock exchange located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is the largest stock exchange in Canada and the ninth largest in the world by market capitalization. The TSX is owned by the TMX Group, which also owns the Montreal Exchange, the TSX Venture Exchange, and other financial services.

The Toronto Stock Exchange was established in 1852, but it was not until 1861 that it was formally incorporated. The exchange has undergone numerous changes and developments over the years, including the introduction of electronic trading in the 1970s and the merger with the Montreal Exchange in 2008 to form the TMX Group.
