Paint

Paint is a liquid, liquefiable, or mastic composition that, after application to a substrate in a thin layer, converts to a solid film. In the Middle Ages, paint was primarily used in the creation of illuminated manuscripts and panel paintings. During the Renaissance, the development of oil paint allowed artists to create more detailed and realistic works of art.

In the 19th century, the industrial revolution led to the mass production of paint, making it more accessible to the general public. Today, paint is used in a variety of industries, from art and design to construction and manufacturing.
