2CBFly-NBOMe[edit]

Chemical structure of 2CBFly-NBOMe
3D model of 2CBFly-NBOMe

2CBFly-NBOMe is a synthetic psychedelic compound that belongs to the phenethylamine class. It is a derivative of the 2C-B compound, modified with a NBOMe group, which is known to enhance its potency and affinity for the 5-HT2A receptor.

Chemical Structure[edit]

2CBFly-NBOMe is chemically related to both 2C-B and the NBOMe series of compounds. The "Fly" in its name indicates the presence of a bicyclo[2.2.2]octane ring system, which is a structural modification that distinguishes it from other NBOMe compounds. The addition of the NBOMe group (N-methoxybenzyl) to the 2CBFly structure significantly increases its binding affinity to the 5-HT2A receptor, which is primarily responsible for its psychedelic effects.

Pharmacology[edit]

2CBFly-NBOMe acts as a potent agonist at the 5-HT2A receptor, similar to other compounds in the NBOMe series. This receptor is a subtype of the serotonin receptor and is primarily involved in the modulation of mood, perception, and cognition. The activation of this receptor by 2CBFly-NBOMe leads to altered sensory perception and cognitive processes, which are characteristic of psychedelic experiences.

Effects[edit]

The effects of 2CBFly-NBOMe are similar to those of other psychedelics, including visual and auditory hallucinations, altered sense of time, and changes in thought patterns. The intensity and duration of these effects can vary depending on the dose and individual sensitivity. Due to its high potency, 2CBFly-NBOMe is active at very low doses, which increases the risk of accidental overdose.

Legal Status[edit]

The legal status of 2CBFly-NBOMe varies by country. In many jurisdictions, it is classified as a controlled substance due to its structural similarity to other banned psychedelics and its potential for abuse. Users should be aware of the legal implications of possessing or distributing this compound in their region.

Safety and Risks[edit]

As with other NBOMe compounds, 2CBFly-NBOMe carries significant risks, particularly at higher doses. These risks include vasoconstriction, hypertension, tachycardia, and in severe cases, seizures or serotonin syndrome. Due to its potency, precise dosing is critical, and the use of volumetric liquid dosing is recommended to minimize the risk of overdose.
