Steve Berman is a prominent American lawyer specializing in class action lawsuits. He is a co-founder and managing partner of the Seattle-based law firm, Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP.

Early Life and Education[edit]

Berman was born and raised in the United States. He attended the University of Michigan, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Political Science. He later attended the University of Chicago Law School, where he received his Juris Doctor degree.

Career[edit]

After graduating from law school, Berman began his career as a lawyer. He co-founded the law firm Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP in 1993. The firm specializes in class action lawsuits and has represented clients in a variety of high-profile cases.

Berman is known for his work in consumer protection, antitrust, securities, and human rights litigation. He has been involved in several notable cases, including the Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement, which resulted in a $206 billion settlement for his clients.

In addition to his work in class action lawsuits, Berman has also been involved in several significant pharmaceutical cases. He has represented clients in lawsuits against major pharmaceutical companies, alleging fraudulent marketing practices and other violations.
