Chalfont is a borough in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 4,009 at the 2010 census. Chalfont is part of the North Penn Valley, a region that is centered around the borough of Lansdale.

History[edit]

Chalfont was named after Chalfont St Giles, a village in Buckinghamshire, England, which was the home of William Penn's first wife. The borough was incorporated in 1901.

Demographics[edit]

As of the 2010 census, there were 4,009 people, 1,537 households, and 1,091 families residing in the borough. The population density was 2,505.6 people per square mile.

Chalfont is served by the Central Bucks School District.

Transportation[edit]

Chalfont is accessible via Pennsylvania Route 152 and Pennsylvania Route 202. The borough is also served by the Chalfont station on the SEPTA Lansdale/Doylestown Line.
