Carolyn Mary Kaelin (June 4, 1961 – July 28, 2015) was a renowned American breast surgical oncologist, researcher, and educator. She was the founding director of the Comprehensive Breast Health Center at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, and was recognized for her contributions to breast cancer treatment and patient care.

Early Life and Education

Carolyn Kaelin was born in Syracuse, New York. She demonstrated an early interest in medicine and pursued her undergraduate studies at Smith College, where she graduated summa cum laude. She then attended Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, earning her medical degree.
