Finley Amy

Amy Finley is an American chef, cookbook author, and television personality. She gained national recognition as the winner of the third season of the reality cooking competition show The Next Food Network Star.

Early Life and Education[edit]

Amy Finley was born in San Diego, California. She developed an interest in cooking at a young age, inspired by her family's culinary traditions. Finley pursued her passion for food by attending the Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, where she earned a degree in culinary arts.

The Next Food Network Star[edit]

In 2007, Amy Finley competed in and won the third season of The Next Food Network Star. Her victory earned her a six-episode cooking show on the Food Network titled The Gourmet Next Door. The show focused on making gourmet cooking accessible to home cooks.

Cookbook Author[edit]

Following her success on television, Finley authored a cookbook titled How to Eat a Small Country: A Family’s Pursuit of Happiness, One Meal at a Time. The book is part memoir, part travelogue, and part cookbook, chronicling her family's culinary adventures in rural France.
